“Edward you don’t have to do this!” Alice pleaded, her lips quivering. It was a heart wrenching look and it almost stopped me. Almost.
“Alice.” I said coldly, my already red irises hardening, “I have to do this. For me.”
I couldn’t believe it. After all these years. I was leaving. Poor Esme. I knew it was breaking her heart. It was breaking mine. But the vegetarian life, wasn’t for me. I knew this now. I knew I was disappointing Carlisle. I could read it in his mind. Rosalie was smug. She was expecting this for a long time. I sighed wistfully, “I’m sorry Alice.” Tears spilled down her cheeks, her eyes searching mine. They went blank.
“What did you see?” I clutched her arm tightly, pulling her toward me. She shook her head slightly, as if she was waking herself from a sleep. She wiped her tears away, and smiled at me.
“It’s okay. You can go. You’ll be safe. She’ll watch over you.”
“Who?!” I demanded, baring my teeth. It was so unlike her to be elusive.
“I don’t know.” She answered with sincerity, “You haven’t met her yet.” She was telling the truth. Frustrated I spun around and grabbed my brown leather coat.
“I’ll keep in contact.”
        I was walking out the door when i heard her murmer, "I cannot live, without my life. I cannot live with out my soul." i snorted, Heathcliff
As I made my way down the dark streets, I glanced at a brick building. Orphanage it read. It was my only option right now. It was too late to get into a motel, and technically I was under aged. I swiftly made my way to the red oak doors and rapped three times. A minute later, an elderly lady answered.
“Excuse me sir but-” my appearance caught her off guard, “I’m sorry sir. Can I help you?”
He’s too young! She thought frantically, as she straightened her skirt. Too young, too young, too young! She chanted over and over again.
I took a step forward, my lips curving into a smile. I knew when to be charming, “I’m sorry but I have no parents and no where to sleep. I’m seventeen and I believe this is the place to come. Would you mind me staying a few nights? Until I can contact other family?” I stared intensly at her, knowing my smoldering ruby eyes were flustering her.
“O-o-of course, come in. I’ll get a bed ready.” I followed her as she scurried down the dirty black and white tiled floors. It was easy to keep up.
Excellent, I smiled grimly. A place to sleep, and hopefully, a snack or two.

Yeah but Edward's LEAVING and alice was trying to lay a guilt trip.
and the only reason edward stopped at an orphanage, was because he needed a place to stay for the night. and he's hungry D:

I know.
It's supposed to be a darker sort of story.
I just changed that one part of his personality.
And i'm trying to write it the way edward would talk to people he didn't know. Because all we know is what he says to bella, who he's in love with.
So it makes it quite difficult lol
